In Memory
In 2023 and 2024 we lost a few amazing people too soon. One of the goals of this race is to be able to donate some of the proceeds in honor of them to causes that they were passionate about.
Lois Krotz
Lois was the life of the party. She lived a vibrant life full of adventures and growth. She loved to travel, adored all animals (especially her dogs, Fei and Guan), and was an avid foodie. Lois was often the person to initiate the next experience. People were always drawn to her infectious smile, endless optimism, and steady sense of humor and laughter wherever she went. She lived a life of compassion and was a loyal friend. Due to her strong passion for animals some of the proceeds from events will be donated to a dog rescue located in Utah.
Tom McCabe Jr
Tom was well known and loved by many for his outgoing personality, crazy style, and zest for life! His smile and energy were contagious. He valued his relationships with friends and family above all else. His passion was living each day to the fullest and going on adventures. He loved to cook the best meals both at home and out on adventures. Tom would often be caught howling on the trails letting out a loud “Arooo” to let others know where he was at. Due to his passion for playing outdoors some of the proceeds from events will be donated to a trail maintenance volunteer group in Salt Lake County where he was frequently found adventuring.
